'IM' leaders to meet Modi soon

Dimapur, June 09 2014:
Leaders of NSCN-IM led by its chairman Isak Chisi Swu and general secretary Th Muivah are meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the next few days, an Indian Intelligence source disclosed to Newmai News Network this afternoon.
However, the exact date of the meeting is not confirmed.
Meanwhile, Steering Committee convenor Qhevihe Swu, former outfit's home minister A.K.Lungalang, former home minister Rh Raising, former Steering Committee convenor V.S.Atem, Tongmeth and several other leaders of the NSCN-IM will leave Dimapur for New Delhi on June 10 (Tuesday), a well placed source informed Newmai News Network tonight.
When contacted, an NSCN-IM leader said that there will be a meeting between the NSCN-IM leaders and the Government of India representatives soon.
However, he could not confirm whether it was with the Prime Minister or other Central leaders.
The NSCN-IM leader also did not know the date of the proposed meeting.
It is worth recalling here that NSCN-IM chairman Isak Chisi Swu and the outfit's general secretary Thuingaleng Muivah had left Dimapur for New Delhi on May 13 in connection with the ongoing peace talks.
The NSCN-IM leaders were in Nagaland since March 9 .
In those two months' stay here, the two leaders had signed the Lenten Agreement with the FGN/NNC and NSCN-Khole/Kitovi group under the aegis of Forum for Naga Reconciliation (FNR).
Formation of the Naga National Government' formation is clearly featured in the Lenten Agreement.
The Naga National Government (NNG) is the ' Naga Concordant' signed few years ago and in the March 28 meeting these Naga underground groups agreed in principle to the formation of NNG.
