Imphal, March 09 2021: nascENT organised a one day 'Live Surgical Workshop' on March 6 with live demonstrations from various centres of North East India and otherparts of the country.

Shija Hospital represented Manipur in the workshop and during the workshop, one Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery (FESS) and another thyroid surgery were demonstrated by Dr Moirangthem Niteshore who was assisted by Dr Medhabati Taorem, said a statement issued by Shija hospital.

Both the surgeries were performed free of cost as a symbolic gesture from Shija hospitals to encourage academic atmosphere among the medical community, added the statement.

With this, Dr Moirangthem Niteshore has become the first ENT surgeon from the state to become surgical faculty in an ENT surgical workshop, added the statement.

nascENT is a small group of ENT surgeons who are motivated and dedicated in bringing change in perspective of ENT disorders and to create the necessary platform for all the budding young surgeons.
