DM Community College observes International Day of Radiology

The Dhanamanjuri Community College Imphal observed the International Day of Radiology (IDOR) today.
The function was organised at the Seminar Hall of the college by the Department of Radio Imaging Technology under DDU Centre for Kaushal.
Controller of Examinations of Dhanamanjuri University Dr Asem Nabachandra Singh, Assistant Professor of Pharmaceuticals Manish Kumar Moirangthem and Director of Deen Dayal Upadhyay Centre for Kaushal Dr Raheijuddin Sheikh attended the event as presidium members.
International Day of Radiology is observed commemorating the discovery of X-ray by Wilhelm Conrad R�ntgen in 1895 .
Seminar presentations by the students on the theme for 2019 "Sports Imaging" marked the observance, , said a statement of Dr Raheijuddin Sheikh, Director, DDU Centre for Kaushal, DM University, Imphal.
Sports imaging is a sub-speciality within Radiology which focuses on the parts of the body commonly injured in sports activities.
Also referred to as Musculoskeletal, this covers all areas of the body which contain bones, joints and soft tissues.
The day is celebrated worldwide by various National radiographers, associations and societies, including Indian Society of Radiographers and Radiological Technologists.
