PREPAK claims Ghari bomb attack

Imphal, November 08 2012: The proscribed UG group, People's Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (PREPAK) has claimed that the bomb attack on personnel of 18th Sikh Regiment at Ghari Makha Leikai area along Tiddim Road on November 7 at around 9.30 am was carried out by a Bomb Explosive Unit of the group.

In a statement, PREPAK said that the attack was carried out to ensure minimum casualties since traffic volume along the road had begun to increase gradually.

It further stated that such sudden and surprise attacks will continue against the Central Security Forces and urged public to stay away from them.

PREPAK also urged the people not to cooperate with the Military Civic Action Programme.

The outfit also shared the grief and pain of the civilians who sustained injuries in the attack.
