Village Authority appeals

The Kaibi Village Authority has appealed to all tourists, groups and the general public to refrain from organising any function, picnic, party or festivals at Kozhophe, called by Kaibi, and Zhopao, by Koide .
A press release issued by the secretary of Kaibi Village Authority stated that the request is not meant to hurt the sentiment of any party but to maintain peace and harmony between the two villages .
It pointed out that the said area (Kozhophe/ Zhopao) is a disputed land and a case is pending under the Judicial Court .
It urged the people not to venture into the said area that until the issue is resolved warning that if anyone organise festival, party or event in the area, it may lead to unfavourable out comes .
The secretary also expressed disappointment at the organisers of Freedom Festival for choosing the site as their venue for he festival without any prior approval from the Kaibi Village Authority .
It appealed all those concerned to seek the permission of he village authority before taking any steps and added that the village authority will not bear any responsibility for any untoward incident.
