Bishnupur: Aids extended to widows, differently abled persons

Bishnupur, January 08 2019: Relief Centre for the Welfare of Differently Abled Persons, Manipur Bishnupur Unit organised an awareness programme for differently abled persons and distributed aids yesterday at Kwakta Sandhong Makha Leikai community hall.

Ex-MLA M Prithviraj Singh, retd Supervisor Medical Department S Manglemba Singh, Pradhan Kwakta Gram Panchayat Nahapik, Ward No 7 member Maibam Purnima Devi, National Awardee Laimayum Amarendra Sharma, contractor Okram Saningthou Singh, social worker Naorem Ningol Kala (Mema) Devi, Ward No 7 ex-member Konjengbam Ibemcha Devi attended the event.

21 widows of Ward No 7 and 100 differently abled persons from various areas of Bishnupur district were presented with aids - tricycle and other simple gifts.

Speaking at the event, M Prithviraj called for collective efforts for welfare of differently abled persons.
