Mega health camp held at Langol Aying Leikai

Imphal, December 07 2024: The Department of Community Medicine at Shija Academy of Health Sciences (SAHS), in collaboration with the Langol Youth Development Club, organised a Mega Health Camp at the Community Hall, Langol Aying Leikai on Saturday.

According to a release issued by Shija Hospitals & Research Institute (SHRI), over 200 individuals attended the camp and received free medical consultations in specialties such as Obstetrics & Gynaecology, General Medicine, Paediatrics, General Surgery, ENT, and Ophthalmology.

Individuals received free screenings for eye health, blood sugar, and blood pressure, along with awareness sessions on non-communicable diseases.

Those in need were also provided with free medications.

The health camp is part of the Family Adoption Programme, a key initiative of SAHS.

The programme connects medical students with communities, encouraging preventive care and personalized medical attention.

The initiative underscored SAHS's dedication to improving community health and providing accessible, quality healthcare to the underserved population.
