Revoke order, demands UNC

Senapati, September 07 2021: The United Naga Council (UNC) has adopted at least two resolutions on the issues of the Hill Areas Committee (HAC) Bill 2021 and the order of the Manipur Legislative Assembly Speaker during its consultative meeting today.

The publicity wing of UNC informed Newmai News Network that today's meeting condemned the Manipur Legislative Assembly for not tabling the HAC Bill 2021 .

The second resolution demanded revocation of the order of the Speaker for induction of 9 MLAs of the Assembly Constituencies from the "unscheduled areas" as members of Hill Areas Committee (HAC) .

It may be mentioned here that "All Naga Students' Association, Manipur (ANSAM), Naga Women Union (NWU), Naga People's Movement for Human Rights (NPMHR), CNPO, JTC, NPO, TNL, former presidents of UNC, Naga Parliamentarians, former ADC chairmen and senior activists" from the Naga community were invited to the meeting.
