Imphal, June 07 2015 : Condemning the culture of mob justice prevalent in the State, Ningthoujam Bisheswar (35) s/o late N Tombi of Wangjing Tekcham Leikai, a suspect in the Heirok murder case, has asserted that he is being wrongly accused in the case.

Bisheswar had worked with the main suspect, Tekcham Yaima of Wangjing Tekcham Leikai in a construction work at Heirok from May 15 to 25 .

In a press meet held at Manipur press club today, Bisheswar clarified that he and Yaima had lost contact ever since the construction works at Heirok completed.

Irate locals of Wangjing Tekcham Leikai yesterday burnt down the houses of Bisheswar's and the two other suspects while the trio were being interrogated at Thoubal police station.

Bisheswar was released later in the evening after giving his statement at the police station.

Condemning the culture of mob justice, Bisheswar said the act has not only devastated his family but have left them homeless.
