Prayers offered to Lainingthou Lam-Ahingba; meritorious students feted

Bishnupur, April 07 2019: As observed annually, devotees and public descended down at the sacred shrine of Lainingthou Lam-Ahingba and offered prayers as part of Shajibu Nongma Panba organized by Lainingthou Lam-Ahingba Thougal Lup at Keinou yesterday.

The function was attended by Keinou ZP member N Somananda Singh; president Lainingthou Lam-Ahingba Thougal Lup Ng Lokeshwar; pradhan Keinou GP Ng Sovana Devi; Addl Commissioner Income Tax M Joy Singh; Dr A Ibotombi Singh and retd Chief Engineer CADA A Manoranjan Singh as presidium members.

As part of the function, meritorious students were also honoured including 1st position holder in HSLC Exam 2018, Yaiphabi Mayengbam, Little Flower School d/o Monokanta; two 2nd position holders Patel Lairenjam, Little Flower School, d/o Sharatchandra Utlou and Sujakanta Irengbam, Thambou High School, Mayang Imphal s/o Metrik; two 3rd position holders Brahmacharimayum Balkrishna Sharma, Padma Ratna English School, Kakching, s/o Ramananda and Angela Athokpam, Little Flower School, d/o Somdutta.

The organizer also feted 48 1st divisioners from Keinou GP including national and international players.
