Nursing students take oath

The 13th Foundation Day Celebration and Oath Taking Ceremony of 1st Semester BSc Nursing students was held at the Multipurpose Hall of the College of Nursing, Lamphelpat, today.
The programme was organised by the College of Nursing, Directorate of Health Services, Manipur.
Speaking at the occasion as chief guest.
Health Minister Dr Sapam Ranjan Singh said that the Government is taking up all possible measures to improve the health sector in the State.
He advised junior students to seek suggestions from the senior students and stated that the grievances of the nursing community will be addressed on priority.
He appealed to the nursing community to serve with commitment and dedication.
The dedicated and caring service of the nurses is always appreciated, he added.
He congratulated the students and wished them success.
The Minister further informed that the pattern of examinations for the selection of nursing students may be tweaked and upgraded.
He said the selection process may be clubbed with the NEET for a transparent and quality selection.

Manipur Nursing Council and Additional Director, Health Services Manipur, Dr Chambow Golmei attended the occasion as president, chief host and special guest respectively.
Officials and staff of the Manipur Nursing Council and doctors attended the event.
A floral tribute was also offered to a portrait of Florence Nightingale as a part of the occasion.
