Imphal, September 05 2014 :
Sainik School Imphal has allegedly embroiled in an LDC recruitment scam leading to cancellation of the results, with the All Manipur Students' Union (AMSU) today demanding the school authority to cancel the re-examination.
It is condemnable that an educational institution like Sainik School Imphal encouraged one of the candidates named Premjit to use unfair means during the Lower Divisional Clerk recruitment exam conducted by the school authority on August 30 this year, AMSU president Laishram Reagan alleged while talking to reporters.
He said Premjit, a contract LDC working with the Sainik School Imphal, was caught red handed while appearing in the test that he typed as much as 1000 words per 10 minutes, resulting in cancellation of the results and rescheduling of the exam on September 2 .
But AMSU has blocked the scheduled re-test as name of Premjit was still in the list of the candidates, he said and appealed to the authority of the school not to conduct the re-examination.
The Sainik School authority should first cancel the name of candidate Premjit or else AMSU will not allow conducting the re-examination, Reagan warned.
