Imphal, November 04 2023: The Joint Felicitation Committee Kakhulong Pei, Mathenmei, KDC, Women Society & KYC today jointly organised a felicitation programme for the newly appointed Judge of Manipur High Court, Golmei Gaiphulshillu Kabui.

The programme held at Kakhulong Balwadi School Building, Imphal was attended by M Mangoljao Kabui, khunbu Kakhulong Pei; Kadum Kamson, khullak Kakhulong Pei; Lilasing Kamei, banja Kakhulong Pei; G Lamajanglu, lakpuipu Manthenmei; and K Keinahanpi, lakpui gandai Manthenmei as presidium members.

The programme began with an invocation prayer by Kadum Kanon.

The opening song was presented by Kakhulong Mathenmei.

Speaking on the occasion, M Mangoljao Kabui congratulated Golmei Gaiphunsilu Kabui on becoming the first tribal woman to be appointed as a Judge in the Manipur High Court.

He expressed pride at her achievement and added that her illustrious example will be an inspiration to the younger generation.

He further wished Golmei Gaiphulshillu Kabui all the best in her adjudicating endeavour.

The programme culminated with a vote of thanks proposed by Luh Jashillu Kamson.
