JDDC revokes MoU

Jiribam (Imphal East), October 04 2015: Jiribam District Demand Committee (JDDC) has today revoked the MoU signed with the State Government after the demands put forth by the committee were reportedly not executed till date.

Speaking to media persons, convenor of JDDC M Maipaksana said that the State Government had assured to meet the demands of the committee when the MoU was signed on November 9, 2011 .

However, the assurance given by the Government is yet to be executed.

A memorandum was submitted to the State Government in this regard on July 30, 2012 .

Accusing the State Government of betraying the committee, Maipaksana said that the committee has revoked the MoU signed with the State Government.

The committee will soon hold a meeting and decide the future course of action, Maipaksana added.
