Imphal, July 04 2016: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Uripok Mandal has appealed to the Dis- trict Supply Officer (DSO), Imphal to distribute beneficiary cards of NFSA through related official/staff and not through MLA or Corporation.

In a statement, the general secretary of BJP, Uripok Mandal Ch Nongthouba said that the distribution of ration cards by MLA or by their agents is a disturbing trend and improper in the light of the upcoming Assembly elec- tion in the early part of 2017 and is a political gimmick of some politicians with a popu- list agenda to gain political mileage.

The party also urged the DSO, Imphal to publicize the particulars of persons in Uripok A/C who are entitled to get AAY and PHH cards at the earliest.
