Imphal, April 04 2013: The Land and Properties Affected Association of Barak to Pungmon villages, Tamenglong district has warned of resorting to intense form of agitation if the authority concerned failed to clear the debris produced as a result of railway construction work in agriculture land before April 20 .

A statement issued by the association today pointed Out that there has been standing agreement between the farmers and the authority concerned that the debris produced by railway construction work in 2009 should be cleared off in the agriculture land of Khumji, Karuangmuan and Marangjing villages.

Lamenting the deliberate negligence and violation of the agreement by the railway authority, the Association has also reported the matter to the DC of Tamenglong, who was also a witness of the agreement between the farmers and the railway authority.
