State level Youth Fest kick starts

Imphal, December 03 2017: A six-day long 22nd State Level Youth Festival, 2017 being organised by the Department of Youth Affairs & Sports began today at the auditorium of Khuman Lampak Sports Complex .

The inaugural function was graced by H Deleep Singh, Commissioner, Youth Affairs & Sports as chief guest and N Praveen Singh, Director, Youth Affairs & Sports as president .

Speaking on the occasion, Deleep said that the main objective of the festival is to provide a platform to youth from other States and youth of the State, where they can interact and understand each other cultures .

He made an appeal to the people to participate in the festival in order to instil the sense of harmony amongst us so that we all can move forward towards a better and a progressive future .

During the festival, the participants from different districts will take part in various competitions on elocution, guitar, tabla, harmonium, flute, sitar, Hindustani vocal, classical Manipuri dance, folk song, folk dance and one act play.
