Silchar, November 03 2019: Manipuri Theatre Centre (MTC), Assam will award two Manipuri theatre activists from outside Manipur as a part of its Silver Jubilee celebration which is going to be held on November 24 at Silchar.

A press statement issued by Somor Luwang, Gen Secy of MTC said that the award committee of the centre has selected Kabrabam Dhiren from Agartala, Tripura to confer Wahengbam (o) Mombi Memorial Award for his outstanding contribution in the development of Manipuri theatre outside Manipur specially in Tripura and Laisom Gulap from Hojai, Assam has been selected for Maimom Tomal-Thambal Memorial Award.

Laishram Gulap is a noted theatre activist who has been contributing for the development of Manipuri theatre specially in Brahmaputra valley of Assam, mentioned the press statement.
