Sit-in condemns bomb threat

Imphal, August 03 2024: A sit-in protest was staged today at Heirangoithong Oinam Leirak condemning the planting of a hand grenade at the residence of Laithangbam Ojit, business manager, Apex Handloom Weavers Service on Friday afternoon.

The sit-in organised by Heirangoithong Bazar Apunba Nupi Lup was participated by a large number of Meira Paibis and locals of the area.

Speaking on the sideline of the protest, Heirangoithong Bazar Apunba Nupi Lup member Y Binasakhi strongly condemned the planting of a hand grenade in a residential area and urged all concerned to not repeat such acts in the future.

She asserted that the unfortunate incident has created more tension among the public who are already reeling due to the ongoing conflict.

She also appealed to all concerned to not cause fear among the people and solve any issue through negotiation.
