Imphal, November 01 2019:
Kangleipak Kanba Lup (KKL) has urged the 60 MLAs and 3 Members of Parliament to make their stand clear on the Indo-Naga peace talks at the earliest.
Speaking to media persons during a press meet held today at Jupiter Yambem Centre, Paona Keithel, Ngamkheingakpa Luwang, secretary general of KKL said that MLAs or MPs who fail to voice their concern at such critical juncture should resign from their posts and take responsibility for all negative outcomes if the agreement reached between the Government of India and NSCN-IM affects Manipur's integrity.
Further urging both the Central and State Governments to declare officially that the final solution between Naga delegates and GoI will not compromise the territorial integrity of Manipur, he added that KKL will continuously support all initiatives taken up by COCOMI.
The GoI is 'disrupting' the peaceful coexistence of all the indigenous people of North East States by implementing a carrot and stick policy to serve their 'selfish end,' he said.
He appealed all the indigenous communities residing in the State to refrain from celebrating any festival in order to manifest a collective voice against any divisive policy.
