Senapati, February 01 2023: Senapati Karong Area Baptist Union (SKABU) organised a 1-day fasting and prayer service for students appearing in this year's High School Leaving Certificate Examination (HSLC) at Poumai Baptist Church, Senapati.

During the programme, Ng David Sha, Pastor Poumai Baptist Church, Senapati spoke on the theme, "The power of prayer" .

Ng David Sha urged all the candidates to commit their ways to God for God can do the impossible in one's life.

"When one prays, one gets closer to God and prayer is the tool to get closer to God", he added.

Rev Nethaniah Khayi, Pastor, Katomei Baptist Church shared that to have been created in God's image refers to the ability to think and distinguish between good & bad.

Just as King Solomon began his career well with God, the pastor asked all candidates to begin their studies with the help of God by praying.

Pfokrelo Matthew, Pastor, Emesiiphro Baptist Church delivered a lecture on "Don't procrastinate" while D Wipibou, Pastor, Zeliangrong Baptist Church, Senapati spoke on "Fruitfulness" .

Rev K Daniel, president SKABU led the special prayer and blessings for all the candidates who will be appearing in HSLC examination 2023 which is scheduled to begin from March 16 .

About 500 students along with school principals, teachers, wardens of various hostels and parents/guardians took part in the programme.
