Rashtriya Ekta Diwas observed at DBC Maram and Moreh PS

As an endeavour to solidify the bond of oneness and unification, the 144th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was celebrated as Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) today.
In line with the Nationwide celebration, NSS of Don Bosco College Maram organized various activities in the college premises in order to extend their heartfelt appreciation about the life and the involvement of great leader, Sardar Patel.
The idea was to infuse in the younger and the future generations with values integrated with the knowledge about the country's rich heritage.

This year, Rashtriya Ekta Diwas is being celebrate as an opportunity to "reaffirm the inherent strength and resilience of the Nation to withstand the actual and potential threats to the unity, integrity and security of the country" .
A number of activities were organized all through the day to support the cause of promoting unity and celebrating "Rashtriya Ekta Diwas" in the College premises.
All students administered by NSS programme officers Sr Sweta William, Th Shyamsunder Luwang and John Britto took part in a march past with the NSS Band and "Run for Unity" .
Around 500 NSS volunteers, students and villagers participated in the Unity Run.
A special morning assembly was organized in which all faculties, staff members and students gathered at Maram Centre.
The program started with the inspirational speech by Fr Dr K O Sebastian, Principal of the college, who enlightened students about the role of Sardar Patel in making India as "Republic of India" .
A collaborative pledge on peace and solidarity was administered by NSS volunteers, faculties and students of the college.
Tengnoupal: In connection with 144th Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel which is observed across the nation, Moreh Police observed "Rashtriya Ekta Diwas" at Moreh Police Station today.
The observance function was attended by ASP (LO), Moreh Police, Kh Robinson; ASP (Ops) Amit; SDPO Meghabarna; OC Letkhohao Vaiphai and other police personnel during which they pledged for the unity and security of the nation.
