COTA congratulates S Rajen, appeals for revision of RoP-2019

Imphal, September 30 2020: The Council of Teachers' Association (COTA) has welcomed the induction of S Rajen Singh as Minister of Education in the Council of Ministers led by Chief Ministe N Biren Singh.

Expressing joy at the handing over the charge of Education department to S Rajen Singh, COTA in its press release stated that S Rajen has ample hands-on experience as he had served as MoS, Education and SCERT during the regime of W Nipamacha Singh, ex-Chief Minister of Manipur.

COTA has reasonable faith on him that he will attend to all issues with earnestness irking the education system of the State, it said.

While extending its congratulations to the newly inducted Minister, COTA assured that it will continue to lend its helping support to him.

The association further drew attention of the new Minister towards the long pending demand of teachers commnunity with regar to the rectification of RoP-2019, adding that it has demoralized the teachers community due to the downward revisiuon of the pay structure.
