Nemcha Kipgen visits FCI Godown Ningthoupham

Social Welfare and Cooperation Minister Nemcha Kipgen visited the FCI godown Ningthoupham and took stock of the situation today.
The Minister inspected the godown, which comprises of three sheds in the presence of the Manager (Depot) Tongpao Haokip and Shed in-charge Ngulhao Haokip along with Technical Assistant Nengpilhing Momin.
Briefing the Minister, Ngulhao Haokip highlighted the grievances faced by the labourers and staffers especially during lifting of the rice from the godown.
It will be better if the schedule of lifting rice in respect of Kangpokpi and Senapati could be separated, he opined.
While lauding the relentless efforts of the FCI officials and staff, Nemcha Kipgen appreciated the dedication and sincerity of the officials in rendering exemplary services toward the welfare of the people during this critical juncture.
The Minister also inquired about the wellbeing of the labourers who were engaged in loading and unloading the rice at FCI Godown Ningthoupham while handing over 50 Renu's masks to the Shed in-charge for distribution to the officials, staffs and labourers of the godown.
The Minister also inquired about the screening done at the Godown and the protective measures ensured to the doctors and nurses engaged in screening the drivers and handymen coming from different parts of the country transporting the rice.
She also handed over well-developed cotton masks made by Renu Handloom and Handicraft Co-operative Society Limited, Imphal East to Dr Paotinlal Haokip for distribution to the health workers engaged at the Godown and other health workers of the district.
