CADA seizes large quantity of foreign liquors

Imphal, December 31 2019: Coalition Against Drugs & Alcohol (CADA) launched a drive and seized a large quantity of foreign liquors worth more than Rs 2 lakh from the shops located along Singjamei Chingamakha Ningthoujam Leikai, Imphal West, at around 2 pm yesterday.

A statement issued by the secretary of information and publicity of CADA, mentioned that the liquors were seized from AS Meat Centre and Mathel Shop and two individuals, identified as Khumbongmayum Indu (60) w/o Kh Anjan Singh and Khumbongmayum Babyrose (35) w/o Kh Jadumani Singh, were detained as well.

It continued that the seized liquors included 12 bottles of Old Monk full, 24 bottles of Old Monk half, 20 bottles of Old Monk quarter, 10 bottles of Officers Choice full, 24 bottles of Officers Choice half, 48 bottles of MC Dowel half, 5 bottles of OC Blue full, 12 bottles of Myanmar can beer, 24 bottles of Charge can beer, 100 bottles of Kingfisher can beer, 5 bottles of White Magic full, 150 bottles of Chakpa Phayeng (local) 1 litre, 150 bottles of Tairenpokpi Chaknam (local) 500 ml, 400 bottles of Chakpa Phayeng (local) 1 litre, 50 bottles of Chakpa Phayeng (local) 500 ml, 12 bottles of Phayeng drink (local) 1 litre and 30 bottles of Sekmai (local) 1 litre.

It continued that the seized liquors were destroyed in front of the shops.
