Village chiefs conclave held at Moltuk

Assam Rifles organised a village chiefs conclave to reiterate the guidelines of COVID-19 and other issues pertaining to the Kengjoi Subdivision at Moltuk village in Chandel district, yesterday.
The troops of Assam Rifles also celebrated Christmas and advent new year with the village chiefs, said a statement of IGAR(S) .
The conclave was attended by chiefs, secretaries and members from nine villages.
The conclave began with discussions pertaining to the security of the region and the constant menace of smuggling.
The village chiefs were also applauded for their role in controlling the pandemic and the constant support that has been extended to the various Government agencies including the Assam Rifles in their various endeavours, it added.
The attendees were made aware of the various training opportunities, provided by the Assam Rifles to enhance the chances of recruitment of the youth to the various security forces in the country.
The village chiefs conveyed their desire to improve the infrastructure, issue of unemployment and the need for vocational training, it added.
The village chiefs further expressed their appreciation to the Assam Rifles for organising the event and extended their Christmas wishes to the Assam Rifles.
