AR provides assistance to local club

Troops of 18 SIKH of 9 Sector under HQ IGAR (South) at Maibam Post in a mission of lending helping hands to the villages, planted another milestone by providing full-fledged assistance to Lourembam Youth Unique Club (LYUC) in celebrating its foundation day function, displaying the spirit of great zeal and enthusiasm.
The foundation day celebrations commenced with flag hoisting by the Company Commander and was followed by various scintillating programmes like display of martial art, a friendly kabaddi match and cultural presentation.
Students performing exceedingly well in board examinations and outstanding performers who brought laurels to the village at state or national level were also felicitated with meritorious certificate and prizes by the Company Commander as chief guest of the function.
On the other hand, the 43 Assam Rifles organized a medical camp at Tumnopokpi village near Kangpokpi town at Senapati district on September 28.SMO Deputy Commandant Kamlesh Kumar and RMO Captain Ganesh Saravagi conducted the medical camp in which a total of 328 patients including elder persons and children were treated and provided free medicines.
Both the doctors also presented a lecture on health and hygiene to the villagers after the medical camp.
