The Border Security Force (BSF), primarily meant to secure the country's frontier is growing by 176 border men as they took ceremonial oath and formally dedicated themselves to serve the Nation in peace and war at the Border sentinel's subsidiary training, here, at Mualkoi village.
Inspector General of the force's FTR Hqtrs AC Thapliyal graced the ceremony and reviewed the colorful attestation parade that began at 9am on the STC ground.
The IG while exhorting the newly inducted border men said the skills acquired by the recruits during the entire 9 months of training will prepare them for the job whether in guarding the frontiers or in fighting the menace of terrorism, Maoism or insurgency.
Equipped to train regular recruits, pre-promotional courses and other specialized courses the STC/BSF at Mualkoi has since its establishment trained over 41,069 recruits including those from various State armed forces in 211 batches.
