Irawat Celebration Committee declares names for 'Irabot Ningshing Mana, 2021'

Imphal, September 28 2021: Irawat Celebration Committee has declared the names of 12 individuals to award the 'Irabot Ningshing Mana' for the year 2021 .

The Committee in a press release said that it has been presenting the awards for the past few years to individuals for their remarkable contributions in different aspects including media, education, arts and literature and so on.

The names of the individuals who will be honoured are as follows- 'Jananeta Irabot Mana' will be awarded to Leihaothabam Saratchandra Sharma, 'Comrade in Army-2021' to Comrade Khaidem Kulla Singh of Ngakchoupokpi, 'Paodam loi Athoiba (Editor's Award) to Nongmaithem Deben popularly known as Khollao Deben of Keishampat, 'Sintakloi Khoichangba Nongthombam Iboton Ningshing Mana' to Gurumayum Manglem Sharma, principal of Borobetra Higher Secondary School, Jiribam, 'Ram Singh Ningshing Mana' to Saikhom Ongbi Tombi Leima, mother of Tokyo Olympic 2020 medallist, Saikhom Mirabai Chanu, 'Leima Seishakhenbi Irabot Ningshing Mana' to renowned singer Ayekpam Ningol Chingtham Kamala, Integrity Award-2021 to Dr K Hira Kabui of Kakhulong Kabui Khul, 'Sinmi Thouchangba Irabot Ningshing Mana to Thangjam Sanatomba of Ukhongshang, 'Naha Thoupangloi Irabot Ningshing Mana' to Philem Rohan of Moirang and 'Phambak Leelaroi Irabot Ningshing Mana' to Loitongbam Brajamon Singh of Hiyangthang Makha Leikai.

Two more awards which are presented to progressive singers, dancers and writers will be awarded to renowned artists Wairokpam Kamini Singh and Ningombam Irabot Singh.

The awards will be presented to the respective individuals on the occasion of 125th birth anniversary celebration of Jananeta Hijam Irabot on September 30 which will be held at Iboyaima Shumang Leela Shanglen, added the press release.

All the prizes carry a citation, a cash award and a shawl.
