Following an apology tendered by Ramesh Publishing House, New Delhi, publisher of R Gupta's Manipur General Knowledge, the Kangleipak Students' Association (KSA) has lifted the ban it imposed on the publishing house.
Speaking to media persons at their Sega Road, Konjeng Hazari Leikai office this afternoon, KSA secretary general Sukham Bidyananda said that the publishing house not only sent a written apology but also sent one of their representatives.
Ramesh Publishing House representative Rajesh Ghashia who was also present at the press meet said, "Our firm would like to apologise to the people of Manipur once again" .
Subsequently, the ban imposed on the publishing house has been lifted but the ban on the erroneous book still remains.
Nonetheless, the publishing house may correct the errors and publish the same book again.
However, the ban imposed upon PC Jain & Co and Jain Book Shop for selling the books in spite of KSA's appeal against it will remain, Bidyananda said.
