Imphal, April 28 2016: The JAC formed against the shooting of Rakesh Shah and extortion in Kanglatongbi villages has urged the authority concerned not to release the culprit involved in the shooting incident on April 22 at 4.30 pm.

It may be recalled that a young student Rakesh Shah (17) s/o (L) Dadan Shah of Manipur Public School, Koirengei was injured in the shooting.

The culprit, Paominthang Singson alias James arrested with arms under the command of Maj Kamaljeet Singh, post commander of 25 Assam Rifles, Motbung Post should be booked under NSA, it added.

The JAC also urged the authority concerned to arrest the other persons involved in the crime along with the vehicle used and warned of launching intense forms of agitation if the arrested individual is set free on bail.
