Cabinet eyes effective transfer policy

Imphal, March 26 2012: The State Cabinet today decided to formulate a more effective policy for transfer and posting of State Government employees.

The Cabinet has entrusted the Chief Secretary to constitute a committee headed by himself for the purpose.

Although, the State already has a transfer and posting policy, the Cabinet meeting, chaired by Chief Minister O Ibobi, deliberated on the need to chalk out a more effective policy.

The Cabinet also directed the Chief Secretary to keep Health, Education and Home Departments at the top of the priority.

The policy report would be deliberated by the Cabinet again after its submission.

The Cabinet also gave its nod to observe the death anniversary of Maharaja Narsingh as a Government function and to prorogue the the first session of the 10th Manipur Legislative Assembly.
