Imphal, August 25 2024: Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Imphal East (Andro) organised an Awareness cum Workshop on "Renewable Energy" under PM KUSUM Scheme 100 Days Action Plan at its Conference Hall on August 24 .

It was attended by Prof Ph Ranjit Sharma, Director of Extension Education, Central Agricultural University (CAU), Lamphelpat.

Imphal as the chief guest, said a release issued by KVK.

At the event, Prof Ph Ranjit encouraged the farmers to take maximum benefits of the scheme to double their income.

Resource person on the workshop, Babita Thangjam, Sr Scientific Officer, MANIREDA, elaborated on the benefits of the PM KUSUM Scheme.

S Molibala Devi, Sr Scientist & Head of KVK, Imphal East gave the keynote address on renewable energy and its sustainable range of benefits towards increasing one's income in agriculture and allied activities. A campaign and an on-spot registration for application of the scheme was also conducted.

The programme included a documentary film show and a live demonstration of the solar pump in the KVK, Imphal East Instructional Farm.
