Goods trucks left Jiribam for Imphal

Imphal, August 25 2011:
At least 820 goods laden vehicles have left Jiribam for Imphal today along NH-53, now rechristened as National Highway 37, reports our Jiribam correspondent.
The goods laden trucks are being escorted by personnel of IRB and MR.The goods laden vehicles include 254 trucks carrying cement bags, 249 trucks carrying rice, 66 oil tankers carrying diesel, 34 trucks carrying fertilisers, 26 tankers carrying petrol, 17 LPG carriers, 6 oil tankers carrying Kerosene, 4 trucks carrying medicines, 2 trucks carrying Oxygen and others carrying essential items.
