Senapati, February 23 2016: Tumuyon Khullen, Feb 23 : The inaugura- tion of Group workshed and commencement of a two months weaving training programme under ISDS was held at Tumuyon Khullen village today with chief of the village Mareiba attending as chief guest, our correspondent reports. The programme was held at Group workshed of Douta weavers SHG, T Khullen handloom cluster.

It is sponsored by the Ministry of Textiles, Govt of India under NERTPS and implemented by District Handloom and Textiles Office, Senapati. Handloom designers, master trainers, supervisor handloom, Department officials, village elders, weavers, church leaders and others were present at the programme. Speaking at the occasion, T Khullen chief Mareiba expressed happiness over the setting up of a new workshed at the village. Information on corpus funding for material cost and items and insurance for weavers available were discussed during the programme.
