Imphal, June 22 2020:
"When the State is facing the COVID-19 pandemic; trying to topple the present Government on selfish motives while keeping aside all the serious issues is not a right move" .
This was stated by Shiv Sena State Unit president Moirangthem Tombi, who is also the convenor of Manipur Democratic Alliance while speaking to media persons at the office of Shiv Sena at Babupara today.
He further said many people are now jobless and the three 'Ima Keithels' are still closed but instead of focusing on how to help these jobless people, the leaders of the State are more concerned with gaining political mileage.
He appealed to both sides (BJP and Congress) to refrain from scoring political points in this trying time.
"The positive cases are increasing day by day.
Let us focus on preventing further spread of the virus, he said and added "Stop this mentality of jumping ship in order to get what you want.
"Creating political turmoil during this trying time is uncalled-for," he added.
Co-convenor of the Alliance, K Khogendra added that delimitation is also one burning issue in the State and appealed the leaders to stop being selfish.
"If you do not have the will to sacrifice exit from active politics," he added.
