IMCYA hosts Christinas Season Gathering

Imphal, December 21 2024: International Meetei Christian Youth Assembly (IMCYA) hosted the Christmas Season Gathering 2025 on the theme, "A moment to unite hearts, kindle peace and harmony, embraces integrity and elevates spirituality'' atGMHall,Imphal yesterday.

It was attended by IMCYA president Khuraijam Surajkumar, advisor Pastor P Sanjit, advisor Rev K Premjit, vice president Pastor Nimai, advisor Rev David Khoirom and RK Binita from Churachandpur as presidium members.

During the event, renowned singer T Mandakini led the gathering in singing the State song, "Sana Leibak Manipur" .

It was followed by prayer sessions and hymns.

IMCYA ambassador Rohan Philem said that Ningol Chakkouba was celebrated at Chadong village in Kamjong district this year with Meitei and tribal Ningols.

He asserted that the event was emphasised on instilling a renewed sense of oneness among the indigenous people of Manipur.

He continued that symbolizing the enduring bond between the indigenous communities of Manipur's hills and valleys, Mera Houchongba 2024, was also celebrated at the sacred site of Kangla.

Rohan also conveyed his appreciation to the representatives of 25 indigenous communities and CSO leaders participating in the Christmas Season Gathering organised by IMCYA .
