AR endeavours continue

As part of the Assam Rifles Civic Action Programme, 26 Assam Rifles of 27 Sector AR under the aegis of Hqs IGAR (South) conducted a coaching class for the students who will appear in the entrance examinations of NDA, RIMC and Sainik School at Hill Model High School.
23 students hailing from interior villages of Singhat sub division in Churachandpur district attended the class, said a press release issued by PRO Hqs IGAR (S) .
In another endeavour, 6 Assam Rifles of 27 Sector AR under the aegis of Hqs IGAR (South) organised a medical camp at Moirang.
A total of 794 patients were given treatment and provided required medicines during the camp.
The local people were made aware of the prevailing health related issues and preventive measures, added the press release.
On the other hand, 3 Assam Rifles of 28 Sector AR under the aegis of Hqs IGAR (South) constructed a toilet block at Bonse village in Chandel district.
In yet another endeavour, 44 Assam Rifles of 10 Sector AR under the aegis of Hqs IGAR (South) handed over five solar lamps to Phaikoh village and four to Aishi village of Kamjong sub-division in Ukhrul district.
Phaikoh and Aishi villages are located in one of the most interior terrains of the State with poor infrastructure and no electricity.
This area is marked by intense militancy and thus suffers from dawdling pace of development, said the press release and added that the event was also marked by an interactive session with active participation from villagers.
