Mishap claims 1 at Lilong Chajing

Imphal, September 20 2012: A motor-cyclist was killed when he was knocked down by a car along Imphal-Moreh road at Lilong Chajing (near saw mill) under Singjamei police station last afternoon.

Both the car (Hyundai Getz) and Yamaha R-15 were heading in the same direction (Canchipur) when the car rammed the motorcycle, causing injuries to the motor-cyclist.

Injured Leishangthem Roshan (20) s/o Kumar of Arapti Maning Leikai was rushed to Shija Hospital but he succumbed to the injuries not long after reaching the hospital.

The corpse has been handed over to family members after post mortem at RIMS today.

Along with impounding the car, police have registered a case in connection with the incident.
