'Only solution is implementation of 7th UGC pay': FEGOCTA

Imphal, February 20 2021: FEGOCTA is always open to dialogue and democratic solutions, however the only solution to the ongoing agitation is issuing orders for implementation of 7th UGC pay.

FEGOCTA said this in a statement issued today and added that the college teachers had been waiting for more than 3 years now.

The last cabinet decision for implementation of the same was passed on August 6, 2020 which also has not been put into effect even after 6 months, added the statement.

The statement added that people should not look at this demand as merely a financial demand but rather a step towards bringing equal opportune to the education sector and closing the gap that exists between the education department and other departments in the financial front.
