CMHT cards distributed to Thoubal district denizens

Thoubal, July 18 2022:
Under the supervision of deputy commissioner A Subhash Singh, Thoubal district administration on Monday distributed CMHT cards to four beneficiaries two days after receiving their applications.
During the MeeyamgiNumit held on July 15at the district headquarters, 17 applications in total were received for the scheme.
Under the supervision of the DC, verification process was duly conducted by the staff and four beneficiaries were found eligible for getting the health cards.
Speaking to media persons, DC Subhashinformed that considering the importance of such health card, the district administration took up prompt action and verification was swiftly conducted.
He said that the verification of the remaining 13 applicants will also be carried out very soon and if found eligible they may also avail the health cards.
He also appreciated the staff for their cooperation in taking up such work for the welfare of the people.
One beneficiary A Joy from Khekman said that he is very happy to get the CMHT card.
He thanked the deputy commissioner for his speedy action and also the state government for introducing such useful scheme for the common man.
While stating that earlier it was impossible to avail healthcare facilities due to his poor economic condition, the beneficiary mentioned that now with the help of the card he and his family members can access better healthcare facilities and lead a good healthy life.
He also encouraged other eligible people, who are yet to apply for CMHT card, to submit necessary documents to avail the benefit of the scheme.
CMHT scheme was first introduced on January 21, 2018.Now under this scheme, eligible family will get Rsfive lakh in a year for treatment and other medical facilities.
