AMSGO demands modification of eligibility criteria for State civil service

Imphal, February 15 2016:
All Manipur Students Guardian Organisation
has demanded modification in the eligibility criteria of MPSC civil
services examination.
Reacting to the eligibility criteria set by the State Govern-
ment, MSGO secretary S Sumati in a press meet today said
17,000 applications from outsiders is unacceptable, the State
Government should give more preference to the native people.
Online application to the examination were extended from
January 6 to January 27 and later till February 3.Any citizen
of India is eligible to appear in the State civil service exami-
nation.
As such, out of the total 37,000 applicants, 17,000 are
said to be outsiders, Sumati stated.
Expressing strong disapproval, the organisation has de-
manded rectification of the eligibility criteria within three days
and cancellation of all the applications from outside the State.
The applicants should be required to produce employment
card issued by the State, residential/domicile of the State with
an understanding of Manipuri language, the organisation de-
manded.
