Engagement orders handed over to JTAs

Imphal, September 14 2022: Deputy Labour Commissioner/Conciliation Officer, Peter Salam handed over engagement orders to 27 Junior Technical Assistant (JTA) of Manipur State Power Distribution Company Limited (MSPDCL) today.

As per a press release by All Manipur Trade Unions Council, the engagement orders were handed over during a simple programme held at the Deputy Labour Commissioner office.

The engagement orders have been handed over after a conciliation under Industrial Dispute Act, 1947 .

Manipur State Power Distribution Company Engaged Employees Union (MSPDCLEEU) president, Chanam Gyanen Singh; vice-president Ningombam Opendro Singh; treasurer Md Zakir Hussain and members were also present on the occasion.

Speaking at the occasion, All Manipur Trade Unions Council (AMTUC) president T Tikendrajit Singh conveyed that AMTUC has been working selflessly for the welfare of labourers and will continue to do so.

He also expressed gratitude to H Biren Singh, Labour Inspector for carefully proceeding the conciliation which has led to today's event where the JTAs are receiving the engagement orders after a long dispute.
