Imphal, March 14 2016: Some unidentified persons made an abortive attempt to kill SK Thadou of UTLA/UTLF on March 4 midnight.

Highlighting repeated attacks carried out by elements against him and his cadres SK Thadou has appealed the Government to take up necessary security measures.

Thadou and his cadres came under attack between Leingangpokpi and Gularthol Jiribam on January 15 leav- ing one cadre dead and another three physically handicapped.

Neither ex-gratia towards the deceased cadre nor compensation towards the handicapped cadres have been provided till date, Jiri News Network reports.

On March 4 another life attempt was carried out and Thadou had a narrow escape.

It is high time the Govern- ment takes necessary actions against such repeated attacks, SK Thadou stated.

It may be mentioned, UTLA/UTLF (SK Thadou) has been under SoO pact since 2013.They had given up their arms and ammunition to the Government and are staying at a designated camp, JNN reports.
