Kangpokpi, July 13 2021: The Thadou Inpi Sadar Hills Kangpokpi District has made a clarification in connection with its press statement under the headline, 'no encroachers at Mt Koubru' today.

Seikhojang Sitlhou, general secretary, Thadou Inpi Sadar Hills Kangpokpi District clarified that the organisation did not mean to accuse the Government of Manipur for inciting some communal minded organizations like the Kangleipak Kanba Lup, Federation of Haomee and the Liangmai Naga Council or forming an alliance with them.

He also clarified that they only wanted to express their displeasure to the Government for not taking action against the communal forces, who always target the Kukis and brand them as foreigners, refugees or tenants.

While seeking an apology for the error, he said that the error on its part is deeply regretted and appealed to the State Government to resolve the Mt Koubru issue amicably by accommodating the sentiments of the local inhabitants.
