Imphal, July 13 2016: Diocessan Social Service Society (DSSS) organised a one-day financial literacy camp at Awungtang community hall, Hungpung, Ukhrul today.

The camp was sponsored by NABARD, our correspondent reports.

LDM, Ukhrul, SK Singsit elaborated the roles of banking sector in the financial inclusion and basic financial planning at the camp while RBI Manager Achan Sharon detailed the functions of RBI.

Phunildro, BRO Oriental Insurance and Opeingam, manager, UCO Bank were some of the resource persons who spoke at the camp.

Premjoy, DDM, NABARD also attended today's financial literacy camp that was participated by over 102 participants.

Hungpung village headman, on behalf of the villagers, thanked DSSS and NABARD for organising the camp.
