Abducted teacher freed

Imphal, July 13 2014:
Md Muhibur Rehman (42), staff teacher of Lilong Higher Secondary Madrassa who was abducted by some unknown persons yesterday has been freed after some thrashing.
Speaking to media persons at his Hatta residence today, Md Muhibur appealed to his abductors to explain why he was abducted and beaten.
Md Muhibur said that unknown youngsters abducted him from outside the campus in a Maruti van.
He was blind folded and his hands were tied inside the van.
He was taken inside a house and thrashed there before he was taken to another location.
At the second location, Muhibur came across one Julfiker alias Abo(35) s/o Atawar Rahman of Lilong Mayai Leikai.
On being asked why he was being abducted, the abductors said that he (Muhibur) should pay back the money sent to his brother-in-law (younger sister's husband) .
Later he was set free.
Muhibur said that as he hates confrontation with the abductors, an appointment has been set on July 20 to settle the matter but no complaint has been lodged to police.
