MP Leishemba Sanajaoba visits ailing ex-Minister

Imphal, January 13 2021: Rajya Sabha MP Leishemba Sanajaoba visited ailing ex-Minister RV Mingthing today at his residence in Sana Keithel.

Ex-Minister RV Mingthing who is 91 years old has been ailing that comes with age, said MP Leishemba Sanajaoba.

He added that RV Mingthing is a veteran politician who has a remarkable career of more than 60 years and has worked with 10 Chief Ministers.

He also said that the veteran politician is a father figure to all and a lot can be learned from his work to unify the hills and valley of Manipur.

RV Mingthing said the ancient Kingdom of Manipur is already lost and the only way the remaining legacy can be preserved is through living together in harmony and that can be achieved if "we keep true to the ideals of 'unity in diversity'", added the MP.

Leishemba Sanajaoba was joined by Mathangkui Zimik, king of Hongman Tangkhul village, Chingsubam Waangambi, president, Meetei National Front Kangleipak and others.

A sum of Rs 30,000/- was handed over to RV Mingthing by MP Leishemba Sanajaoba to aid in the treatment and the visiting team also prayed for his good health and long life.
