CCpur, September 12 2019: Churachandpur SP, Amrita Sinha has today conveyed that the district police are working overtime to ensure a peaceful and congenial atmosphere in the district amidst the imposition of CrPC 144 from 6 pm to 5 am in the town area for the past couple of weeks.

Claiming that the police personnel are here to serve and secure a peaceful environment for the public but not to harass the public, the SP called on all to cooperate with them in maintaining a congenial atmosphere in the district.

She also made note of the helmet drive undertaken by the Traffic Control Police and explained the circumstances for taking such an extensive exercise.

The officer maintained that the intention was to reduce accidents and mishaps in the area and rather not a drive undertaken on the whims and fancy of the police, she said.

With mounting complains on modified bike silencers, the TCP have also began a drive against loud and unregulated silencers with about half a dozen of them already impounded, added the SP .
