ADC Chandel organizes motor rally, collects plastic wastes

Chandel, October 11 2019: As part of 'Swachhata Hi Seva', a 'Motor Cycle Rally' was flagged off from Motor Cycle Rally and culminated at Japhou Bazaar, Chandel District Headquarters today during which plastic waste were collected along the road followed by installation of twin bins at Japhou Bazaar.

The 'Motor Cycle Rally' was organized by Autonomous District Council (ADC) Chandel to make aware the public about the ill effects of 'Single Use Plastic' and to spread the awareness of the importance of keeping our surroundings neat and clean.

Royal Riders Chandel took part in the rally held on the theme "Say no to plastic", "Keep Chandel Plastic Free" and was flagged off by Chairman ADC Chandel, D Ringo Lamkang from Thamlakhuren village gate and culminated at Japhou Bazaar.

Speaking to the media persons, Chairman ADC Chandel, D Ringo Lamkang said that the 16 Km long rally was held to spread the awareness of keeping Chandel district neat and clean and to make plastic free Chandel district.

He also sought support from the public to make the initiatives of the ADC a success.

The programme was also attended by executive member (education), ADC Chandel Kanlun Anal; member ADC Chandel, Sh Manglem Monsang; Chief Executive Officer Ksh Siddharth; officials, staff of various Dept under ADC Chandel; village chief; village authority etc.
